Electronic processing - In 1982, year in which the bound vote was eliminated from the electoral legislation, Law No. 6996 ruled on the use of electronic data processing in the electoral services. Three years later, Law No. 7444/1985 guided its introduction in the electoral enrollment and in the revision of the electorate, allowing a new registration of 69.3 million voters throughout the country in 1986, under the supervision and orientation of the Superior Electoral Court.
